MOOD DISORDERS AND TRAUMA GROUP

Our Mood Disorders and Trauma Group is a psychoeducational and therapeutic group. The group aims to bring together individuals who have been diagnosed with mood disorders (major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, dysthymia), and/or have experienced trauma as well as comorbidity with other disorders such as anxiety disorders. The group aims that the participants gain a deep understanding of their experience and learn coping techniques to deal with their everyday difficulties.

Goals of group:

  • To provide psychoeducation about mood disorders (diagnosis, prevention, treatment)
  • To learn how to manage a mood disorder on a personal level (how to manage emotional difficulties outside the therapeutic context)
  • To provide psychoeducation on types and aspects of trauma
  • Recognizing and managing PTSD symptoms
  • Anxiety and fear management
  • Learning self-care and self-esteem techniques
  • Group therapy on mood disorders and trauma

GROUP 1: MEETING EVERY THURSDAY

Who: Adults who have been diagnosed with mood disorders and have experienced trauma.

When: Every Thursday at 18:00-19:30 starting on 11th January 2024.

GROUP 2: MEETING EVERY FRIDAY

Who: Adults who have been diagnosed with mood disorders and have experienced trauma.

When: Every Friday at 18:00-19:30 starting on 12th January 2024.

Duration: 18 weeks
