MOOD DISORDERS GROUP

Our Mood Disorders Group aims to bring together individuals who have been diagnosed with mood disorders (major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, persistent depressive disorder (dysthymia), seasonal affective disorder, cyclothymic disorder, premenstrual dysphoric disorder) and people whose family members have been diagnosed with mood disorders. The group has the aim for the participants to understand their experience in depth and learn coping techniques to deal with everyday difficulties.

Goals of group:

  • To understand the basic principles of cognitive behavioral therapy and to learn management techniques in the therapeutic context
  • To explain the process and importance of clinical assessment in psychotherapy
  • To provide psychoeducation about mood disorders (diagnosis, prevention, treatment
  • To learn how to manage a mood disorder on a personal level (how to manage emotional difficulties outside the therapeutic context).

GROUP 1: MEETING EVERY FRIDAY

Who: Adults who have been diagnosed with mood disorders and adults whose family members have been diagnosed with mood disorders.

When: Every Friday at 18:00-19:30 starting on 12th January 2024.

Duration: 18 weeks

GROUP 2: MEETING EVERY SATURDAY

Who: Adults who have been diagnosed with mood disorders and adults whose family members have been diagnosed with mood disorders.

When: Every Saturday at 12:00-13:30 starting on 13th January 2024.

Duration: 18 weeks
